Dan Tomkiewicz
After graduating from South Kitsap High School in 2016, I decided to pursue baseball at the collegiate level. Playing at Olympic College as a starting pitcher I finished two seasons then unfortunately had to undergo Tommy John Surgery from a completely torn UCL. I wanted to understand why this injury occurred and wanted to be the best baseball player I could be, so I went to Cressey Sports Performance in Hudson, Massachusetts to train. After I threw 90mph for the first time at CSP, I was hooked on performance and training and dedicated my studies to exercise science. After the completion of my degree from York College in 2022 I successfully finished my collegiate baseball career.
While in college, I trained at Driveline Baseball in Kent, Washington and learned more about baseball performance training and eventually achieved a 95mph fastball. I learned what it meant to train hard, smart, and use data to track and improve performance. My experience training at these gyms and the improvements I experienced to my overall lifestyle is what inspired me to provide opportunities for others in sport and fitness. I am incredibly excited to receive the opportunity for growth that Gabe is providing me and I fully plan to take advantage of this experience to learn as much as I can from my fellow coworkers as well as the people that I am privileged to train.
My goal here is to impact the community and make connections with local youth sports programs to help develop and train kids to enjoy the sport and have a healthy relationship with themselves and with general fitness. Throughout my time here, I hope to further my education through different certifications and grow as a trainer and as a person.
